Hi, I'm Ashley.
Ever since I could remember, I was always drawing. I loved being able to choose colors, patterns and shapes. It never occurred to me that I could have a job where I could express myself creatively. I eventually moved from my home in the Bay Area to attend the University of California, San Diego where I studied finance and accounting.
I had a roommate in college that went to art school and during finals we were both up late, her working away at photoshop while I struggled to memorize math formulas. It was one of the turning points in my life that I realized that I wanted to be doing what she was doing. It took working a couple of years in finance post-college to finally take that leap and go back to school for graphic design and I haven't looked back since.
